There are 600 million people across Africa with no access to electricity, over and above, rural Africa still having significant mobility challenges - challenges that can be solved by affordable, accessible, and sustainable mobility & access to renewable electricity.
At Solar E-Cycles, we provide affordable environment-friendly, solar-powered mobility and power for homes or small businesses. Our cycles are accessible by the poorest of the poor with our focus being in Africa. With an open-source, pay-as-you-go formula, the mobility and power provided by our products are able to pay for themselves as users would be well equipped to operate our products for further productive use.
Our products address unfortunate pressing issues including the fact that over 40 million hours a year are spent hauling water in Sub-Saharan Africa alone - 71% of whom are women and girls. With our primary focus being to Empower People, this statistic is assuredly a thing of the past.
